I am 30, live in Waukesha, WI and foot behind a 93&amp;#39; MC Barefoot 200. Growing up my old man, me, and whatever random crazy we could get to ski with us would ski 5 days a week at 5:30 am on the Rock River in Janesville, WI. I am not suggesting we didn&amp;#39;t try to ski 7 days a week, just through wind, rain, and most of all fog we typically would only get out 5 times. Anyway, one of our random buddies, Terry, not only had a similar duck through the legs incident, but the same guy got smoked in the heel by one while footing backward off the boom! Like in your story, the ducks scattered from the front of the boat, only this time one flew about 6 inches off the water directly into the back of his right heal/calf. Needless to say he bit it really hard and I almost crapped in my suit! The only other crazy story is almost getting run down by a sea plane attempting to take off on the river on a particularly foggy day! Trust me, you would not believe how fast they can slow down on the water! Anyway, sweet blog!</content><link rel='edit' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/12754108/115855072027612530/comments/default/2663334077385420513'/><link rel='self' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/12754108/115855072027612530/comments/default/2663334077385420513'/><link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://www.bfooter.com/2006/09/duck-story.html?showComment=1279557965071#c2663334077385420513' title=''/><author><name>Aaron</name><uri>http://www.blogger.com/profile/08996542616792563281</uri><email>noreply@blogger.com</email><gd:image xmlns:gd='http://schemas.google.com/g/2005' rel='http://schemas.google.com/g/2005#thumbnail' width='16' height='16' src='http://img2.blogblog.com/img/b16-rounded.gif'/></author><thr:in-reply-to xmlns:thr='http://purl.org/syndication/thread/1.0' href='http://www.bfooter.com/2006/09/duck-story.html' ref='tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12754108.post-115855072027612530' source='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/12754108/posts/default/115855072027612530' type='text/html'/><gd:extendedProperty xmlns:gd='http://schemas.google.com/g/2005' name='blogger.itemClass' value='pid-720087161'/></entry></feed>
